A male bicyclist sustained moderate injuries after colliding with a pickup truck on the 3500 block of State Street in Santa Barbara on Wednesday morning, August 28, 2024.
According to the Santa Barbara City Fire Department, the truck and the bicyclist were traveling westbound on upper State Street when they collided, causing the bicyclist to become pinned under a truck wheel.
Fire crews arrived at the scene and used jacks to lift the truck, freeing the bicyclist. He was then transported to the hospital with moderate injuries.
The cause of the collision is currently under investigation.
