[08-27-2026] Sacramento County, CA – School Staff Member Injured After Being Struck By Vehicle in Carmichael

A staff member at Starr King K-8 School was injured after being struck by a vehicle in the school parking lot in Carmichael, Sacramento County, on Thursday morning, August 27, 2026.

According to California Highway Patrol logs, the incident was reported around 7:30 a.m. at the school at 4848 Cottage Way, approximately 30 minutes before classes began.

CHP reported that the staff member sustained minor injuries. Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District personnel responded and transported the staff member to Mercy San Juan Medical Center for medical care.

San Juan Unified School District spokesperson Raj Rai confirmed that the injured person was a school staff member but not a teacher.
