[08-25-2026] Riverside County, CA – Two Minors Severely Injured in E-Bike and E-Scooter Crash Involving Vehicle South on Mitchell Ave.

Two minors riding an electric bicycle and an electric scooter suffered severe injuries after being struck by a vehicle in Riverside on Tuesday night, August 25, 2026.

According to the Riverside Police Department, the collision was reported at around 7:15 p.m. south on Mitchell Avenue near Arlington Avenue.

Police said the juveniles were traveling southbound on Mitchell Avenue when a motorist traveling westbound on Arlington Avenue struck both riders.

Both minors sustained major injuries and were transported to a local hospital for treatment. Authorities did not immediately release their ages or additional information about their conditions.

The collision caused significant damage to the e-bike and e-scooter, with the scooter becoming lodged beneath the vehicle involved.

Police remained at the scene into Wednesday morning while investigators examined the circumstances surrounding the collision.

The Riverside Police Department continues to investigate the crash.
