[08-25-2026] Riverside County, CA – Two Killed in Head-On Crash in Lake Elsinore

Two men were killed, and two others suffered major injuries in a head-on collision in Lake Elsinore on Tuesday night, August 25, 2026.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 9:10 p.m. on Grand Avenue near Gregory Place.

CHP said a Chevrolet Camaro driven northbound by 22-year-old Andry M. crossed into the opposite side of the roadway and collided head-on with a Toyota Camry driven by 56-year-old Joseph C.

Joseph was transported to Inland Valley Medical Center, where he later died from his injuries. Andry also died as a result of the collision.

Two passengers in the Camaro, ages 23 and 26, were hospitalized with major injuries.

Authorities have not determined why the Camaro crossed into opposing traffic, and it remains unclear whether impairment was a factor.

The CHP continues to investigate the fatal crash.
