Two people were seriously injured after a two-vehicle crash in southwest Santa Maria early Sunday morning, August 25, 2024.
The incident occurred around 1:15 a.m. at the intersection of Skyway Drive and Auto Park Drive.
Santa Maria Police and Fire Departments, along with American Medical Response personnel, responded to the scene. One driver was trapped in their vehicle and required extrication by firefighters.
Both individuals involved in the crash sustained moderate to major injuries and were transported to a local hospital for treatment.
Santa Maria Police are currently investigating the circumstances leading up to the crash.
