A pedestrian sustained serious injuries during an apparent road-rage incident in Vista on Sunday, August 24, 2025.
According to the San Diego Sheriff’s Office, the incident occurred near Calle Jules and Via Felicidad when a Toyota Sequoia, driven by 41-year-old Lindsey B., allegedly pursued a Jeep Cherokee operated by 42-year-old Nathan R. through a residential neighborhood.
During the chase, the Sequoia struck the pedestrian and several parked vehicles before colliding head-on with another car, leaving the vehicle inoperable.
Authorities reported that Lindsey exited her disabled vehicle, entered Nathan’s SUV, and allegedly sped away. Emergency medical personnel transported the injured pedestrian to a hospital for treatment of serious injuries.
Lindsey and Nathan were arrested on Wednesday near Mission Bay and booked into the county jail on suspicion of multiple criminal charges, including assault with a deadly weapon and hit-and-run causing injury. The nature of their relationship is not yet known.
Authorities continue to investigate the incident.
