[08-22-2026] San Diego County, CA – Woman Rescued From Burning Vehicle After Multi-Vehicle Crash in Oceanside

A woman was rescued from a vehicle that caught fire following a multi-vehicle crash in Oceanside on Saturday afternoon, August 22, 2026.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision was reported around 5:30 p.m. on westbound Vista Way, also known as State Route 78, over Interstate 5.

CHP said the woman was unconscious following the collision. Witnesses reported that good Samaritans pulled her from the vehicle as it began to catch fire.

The woman’s condition was not immediately available. Additional information about other people or vehicles involved in the collision was not released.

The investigation is ongoing.
