[08-15-2026] San Diego County, CA – Woman Rescued From Vehicle After Multi-Vehicle Crash in Oceanside

A woman was pulled from a vehicle after being knocked unconscious in a multi-vehicle crash in Oceanside on Saturday evening, August 15, 2026.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision was reported around 5:30 p.m. on westbound Vista Way, also known as State Route 78, over the Interstate 5 Freeway.

CHP said witnesses reported that a vehicle was beginning to catch fire when bystanders pulled the unconscious woman from it. The vehicle subsequently became engulfed in flames, blocking the far-left lane.

The woman’s condition was not immediately available. Additional information about the other vehicles or people involved was not released.

The circumstances surrounding the crash remain under investigation.
