A construction worker died after a retaining wall collapsed at a job site in Sierra Madre on Friday afternoon, August 15, 2025.
According to the City of Sierra Madre, police received a call around 1:15 p.m. regarding the incident in the 500 block of Sierra Meadow Drive.
Officers with the Sierra Madre Police Department and firefighters from Sierra Madre, Pasadena, and Arcadia responded and found the victim trapped beneath the collapsed wall.
The worker, described as a man in his late 20s, was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity has not yet been released pending notification of next of kin.
The cause of the incident remains under investigation.
