The California Highway Patrol is investigating a crash involving at least two semi-trailer trucks in Buttonwillow, Kern County, late Tuesday night, August 12, 2025.
According to CHP, the collision occurred around 10 p.m. on southbound Interstate 5 at 7th Standard Road.
At least one ambulance responded to the scene, but the extent of injuries is unknown. Authorities said at least one lane remains closed, and there is no estimated time for reopening.
The incident remains under investigation.
