A man died after being struck in a hit-and-run collision in Vallejo early Saturday morning, August 9, 2025.
According to the Vallejo Police Department, the incident occurred around 12:28 a.m. near the intersection of Sonoma Boulevard and Missouri Street.
Officers and paramedics arrived to find the victim unresponsive in the roadway. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Preliminary investigation by the VPD Traffic Division indicated that the man was struck by a vehicle whose driver failed to remain at the scene.
Authorities said this marks the 10th traffic fatality in Vallejo this year. The victim’s identity is being withheld pending family notification.
