[08-07-2026] San Bernardino County, CA – Motorcyclist Killed in Crash on Southbound I-15 in Cajon Pass

A motorcyclist was killed in a crash involving a truck on southbound Interstate 15 in the Cajon Pass, San Bernardino County, on Friday afternoon, August 7, 2026.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision was reported around 12:59 p.m. on southbound Interstate 15, south of the Cajon Pass switchbacks. 

Responding authorities found the motorcycle and rider down in the roadway, with debris scattered across the freeway.

Preliminary reports indicated that another vehicle may have swerved before the motorcycle also swerved and collided with a truck. However, authorities have not confirmed the exact sequence of events. The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim’s identity has not been released.

The CHP continues to investigate the cause of the collision.
