[08-03-2026] Los Angeles County, CA – Pedestrian Killed After Being Struck By Vehicle on Westbound 10 Freeway

A pedestrian was killed after being struck by a vehicle on the Santa Monica (10) Freeway in Los Angeles early Monday morning, August 3, 2026.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident occurred at around 3:45 a.m. on the westbound 10 Freeway west of Vermont Avenue. Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced the pedestrian dead.

Authorities have not released the identity of the victim or additional details regarding the vehicle involved.

The CHP continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the fatal incident.
