A woman died following a head-on collision involving a motorcycle and a pickup truck near Woodlake in Tulare County on Friday evening, August 1, 2025.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 5:40 p.m. on Highway 216 near Naranjo Boulevard. The woman was riding a 2024 Yamaha R3 motorcycle eastbound when she attempted to navigate a sharp turn and veered into the opposing lane.
CHP stated that the motorcycle collided head-on with a 2005 Chevrolet Silverado traveling in the opposite direction. The motorcyclist was transported to a local hospital, where she was later pronounced deceased. The driver of the pickup truck was not injured.
The name of the deceased has not been released pending notification of next of kin.
Authorities continue to investigate the crash.
