A rider was killed after a motorcycle vs. vehicle crash in Imperial Beach on Thursday morning, August 1, 2024.
According to the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department, the crash happened shortly before 8:30 a.m. at Donax Avenue and 13th Street.
Authorities stated that a rider, described as a man in his 20s, sustained severe injuries after his motorcycle collided with a Ford F-150. The motorcyclist was later pronounced dead at the scene by the responding officials.
Currently, no other injuries were reported. Intoxication did not appear to be a factor in the crash.
More information on the incident will be released once the investigation progresses. The authorities are gathering all the necessary evidence to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
