A 3-year-old girl was hospitalized after a dog attack at Vista Grande Park in Rocklin on Friday night, July 31, 2026.
According to the Rocklin Police Department, officers responded around 8:20 p.m. after receiving reports of a dog attack at the park.
The child’s father said his daughter was walking through the park when she was attacked by a pit bull that was wearing a leash but was not being held. He reported that the dog bit the girl in the face, including her mouth and eye. She was transported to a hospital, where she is receiving treatment for serious injuries.
Authorities confirmed the incident but have not released official details regarding the circumstances leading up to the attack.
