[07-30-2026] Tehama County, CA – Two-Vehicle Crash Causes Delays on Highway 99W in Red Bluff

A two-vehicle collision was reported in Red Bluff on Thursday afternoon, July 30, 2026.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred shortly before 4 p.m. on Highway 99W near the Walmart Distribution Center. 

The collision caused traffic delays in both directions as emergency crews responded to the scene.

Authorities said the impact was severe enough to split one of the vehicles into two pieces. Despite the significant damage, CHP reported that no one sustained serious injuries. 

One-way traffic control was implemented while crews cleared the wreckage and investigated the collision.

Motorists were advised to avoid the area if possible until the roadway was fully reopened.

The CHP Red Bluff Area Office continues to investigate the cause of the crash.
