A woman was arrested following a hit-and-run crash involving a semi-truck on Interstate 5 in Fresno County on Wednesday, July 30, 2025.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the woman was driving a white Hyundai when she collided with a black Peterbilt truck tractor and trailer. She fled the scene southbound on I-5 near Manning Avenue.
CHP located a vehicle matching the description and reported the Hyundai was traveling at speeds over 100 mph. Officers conducted a high-speed stop and safely detained the driver.
After further investigation, officers determined the woman was under the influence of alcohol. She was arrested for DUI and hit-and-run. Her identity has not yet been released.
Authorities continue to investigate the crash.
