[07-28-2026] Los Angeles County, CA – Two Suffer Fatal Injuries After Sedan Crashes Into Light Pole in Winnetka

Two people suffered fatal injuries after a white sedan crashed into a light pole in the Winnetka neighborhood of the San Fernando Valley, Los Angeles County, early Tuesday morning, July 28, 2026.

According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, the crash was reported at around 2 a.m. at 20527 W. Parthenia Street near Mason Avenue.

Authorities said the sedan crashed into a city light pole, and a Los Angeles Police Department spokeswoman reported that the vehicle was traveling at a high speed before the collision. One person was pronounced dead at the scene, while another was transported to a hospital.

Firefighters used hydraulic rescue equipment to remove the injured person from the heavily damaged vehicle, which was partially wrapped around the pole. The engine was separated from the vehicle during the crash.

The identities, ages, and genders of those involved have not been released. The Los Angeles Police Department Valley Traffic Division continues to investigate the incident.
