[07-27-2025] Los Angeles County, CA – Multi-Vehicle Crash Caused by Suspected Street Racers on 110 Freeway in South LA

[07-27-2025] Multi-Vehicle Crash Caused by Suspected Street Racers on 110 Freeway in South LAA suspected street racing incident led to a fiery multi-vehicle crash on the 110 Freeway in South Los Angeles early Sunday morning, July 27, 2025.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident occurred around 2:30 a.m. on the northbound 110 Freeway near Florence Avenue. The collision involved two separate impacts and is being investigated as a hit-and-run.

CHP officials said the crash began when two sedans, one white and one black, were seen weaving through traffic at high speeds, appearing to race. Dashcam footage showed the white car leading and the black sedan following closely behind as both vehicles cut off other drivers.

The black sedan swerved across multiple lanes and struck a vehicle on its right, initiating a chain reaction crash involving four vehicles. One vehicle was sent spinning into a guardrail, another was forced down the Gage Avenue exit at high speed, and a third was pushed across several lanes before regaining control near the center median.

CHP and Los Angeles Fire Department crews responded to the scene and shut down all northbound lanes. No one was transported from the scene, according to LAFD.

The white sedan reportedly fled without stopping. The black sedan and three other heavily damaged vehicles were towed from the scene. It is not yet known if any arrests have been made.

Authorities continue to investigate the crash.
