A pedestrian was killed after being struck by a vehicle in Westminster on Friday night, July 26, 2024.
According to the Westminster Police Department, the fatal crash happened around 8:50 p.m. near the center divider of Magnolia Street and Jennrich Avenue.
Police said that the pedestrian, only described as a man, was found unresponsive after being hit by a vehicle. Upon arrival, paramedics assessed the man and pronounced him dead at the scene.
The driver of the vehicle that struck the pedestrian remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. Their name, age, and gender were not immediately disclosed.
It is unclear what caused the collision. There is no word yet whether drugs or alcohol played a role.
The investigation into the accident is ongoing.
