At least one person was killed in a collision involving a big rig in North Sacramento on Thursday morning, July 24, 2025.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at approximately 8:32 a.m. on the southbound side of Highway 99, just north of Elkhorn Boulevard in the Natomas area. CHP online logs confirmed that a big rig and another vehicle were involved.
The cause of the crash and the total number of people injured have not been determined. As of 9:01 a.m., the right lane of southbound Highway 99 remained blocked. Motorists were advised to expect delays and consider alternate routes.
Authorities are continuing to investigate the incident.
