Three people were hospitalized following a multi-vehicle crash involving a big rig near Gardena on Wednesday morning, July 24, 2024.
According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, the accident happened at about 6:21 a.m. on the northbound Harbor (110) Freeway in the Harbor-Gateway area.
LAFD reported that the incident involved two unspecified vehicles and a big rig. One person was said to be trapped inside one of the vehicles involved and was extricated by the responding firefighters.
A total of three people, two men and one woman, were taken to the hospital after sustaining undisclosed injuries. Their names, ages, and current statutes were not provided at the time of writing. It is also not immediately known in which vehicles the injured persons were at the time of the collision.
It is still unclear how the vehicles collided and if alcohol, drugs, or speeding played a role in it.
