A two-vehicle crash sheared a fire hydrant in Valencia, Los Angeles County, on Wednesday afternoon, July 23, 2025.
According to the Los Angeles County Fire Department, the collision occurred at approximately 12:42 p.m. at the intersection of Decoro Drive and McBean Parkway. Responding crews arrived on scene within six minutes of the call.
The crash involved a black Hyundai SUV and a blue Honda SUV and took place just north of McBean Parkway near Summerhill Lane. One of the vehicles struck a fire hydrant, causing water to spray into the air until Santa Clarita Valley Water Agency personnel arrived to shut it off.
Authorities stated that the number of occupants involved was unknown, and no injuries were reported. The black Hyundai sustained rear-end damage, and the blue Honda came to a stop on a traffic island.
Deputies from the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station are investigating the incident. The cause of the crash has not been determined.
