One person was killed after a truck vs. vehicle collision in San Clemente on Monday morning, July 22, 2024.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash happened around 9:39 a.m. on the 5 Freeway, near Avenida Palizada.
Authorities stated that a dump truck collided with a sedan on the freeway’s on-ramp. It is unknown what caused the crash, but CHP confirmed that one person was pronounced dead at the scene. There is no clear information on whether the deceased is the occupant of the sedan or the dump truck.
