A two-vehicle crash caused lane closures and traffic delays on southbound Highway 99 near White Lane in Bakersfield on Tuesday, July 21, 2026.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision was reported around 3:44 p.m. Involved vehicles included a red SUV and a black pickup truck.
The crash blocked lanes 3 and 4 of the southbound freeway, causing traffic delays. Authorities have not released additional information about injuries or the cause of the collision.
Drivers in the area were advised to expect delays and use alternate routes while CHP continues to manage the scene.
