[07-21-2024] One Person Killed, Another Injured After Two-Vehicle Collision in Victorville One person was killed, and another was injured after a two-vehicle collision in Victorville on early Sunday morning, July 21, 2024. 

According to the Victorville Police Department, the crash happened around 1:47 a.m. at the intersection of La Mesa and Amethyst Roads. 

Authorities stated that the collision involved a blue 2002 Ford Ranger and a black 2021 Toyota Camry. The Ford overturned and landed on the grass at Liberty Elementary School, while the Toyota Camry sustained major rear-end damage following the crash. 

Emergency personnel responded to the scene and performed CPR on a male occupant outside the Ford. Despite the life-saving measures, he was pronounced dead at the scene. Meanwhile, another person, whose identity was not immediately known, was airlifted with critical injuries. 

The area around the crash site was closed for several hours. At approximately 6:00 a.m., the coroners were dispatched to the scene to retrieve the body from the overturned vehicle. 

More information regarding the incident will be disclosed as the investigation progresses. No further details were released.
