[07-21-2024] Placer County, CA – Five People Hospitalized, Including Children, After Two-Vehicle Crash in Roseville

[07-21-2024] Five People Hospitalized, Including Children, After Two-Vehicle Crash in RosevilleFive people were hospitalized, including children, after a two-vehicle crash in Roseville on Sunday afternoon, July 21, 2024.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the freeway incident happened just before 3:00 p.m. at the Eureka Road off-ramp from eastbound Interstate 80.

CHP said that a 2017 Nissan Frontier carrying two people was on the interchange from southbound Atlantic Street to I-80 when it went across the median separating the freeway’s on-ramp from the Eureka Road off-ramp. It is believed that the Nissan’s driver failed to traverse the cloverleaf safely because it was traveling at a high rate of speed.

As a result, the Nissan broadsided a 2020 Hyundai Palisade with an adult driver and two child passengers onboard. After that, the Nissan reportedly continued south, cutting all off-ramp lanes before slamming into a metal guardrail and falling down a steep embankment.

The Hyundai driver, later identified as 43-year-old Ryan P., along with his two child passengers, suffered major injuries as a result of the collision. Meanwhile, the Nissan driver, 52-year-old Dale B., and his unnamed passenger sustained moderate injuries.

All five of them were transported to Sutter Roseville Medical Center for treatment. Initial investigations suggest that everyone involved was wearing a seatbelt when the collision occurred.

The official cause of the accident and the possibility of drugs or alcohol impairment as a factor is still under investigation.

Potential witnesses to the crash are encouraged to contact the authorities and share what they know as soon as possible.

What A Lawyer Can Do For You

Many victims put off calling a lawyer even if they sustain injuries after an accident. However, lawyers can help you in many ways. They can provide you with police reports, CCTV footage, and witness statements to strengthen your case. Your attorney will also negotiate with insurance companies to get you fair compensation. The best part is that they will do all of these things for you at no upfront cost. So if you’re injured in an accident, hire a personal injury attorney to recover medical bills, car repair costs, lost wages, and pain and suffering.
