[07-20-2026] San Francisco County, CA – Multi-Vehicle Crash Closes Lanes on Eastbound I-80 Bay Bridge

A our-vehicle crash shut down multiple lanes of eastbound I-80 on the Bay Bridge in San Francisco County on Monday afternoon, July 20, 2026.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred around 3:26 p.m. west of Treasure Island, blocking lanes 3, 4, and 5. A white Ford with front-end damage was reported blocking lane 3.

CHP reported that at least one person was injured, described as an elderly male who sustained facial injuries. Fire department crews and CHP responded to the scene.

Authorities continue to investigate the crash.
