![[07-18-2025] Man Injured After Being Struck by Vehicle on Pacific Coast Highway in Long Beach](https://ak1.to//A9o.webp)
A man was hospitalized with upper body injuries after being struck by a vehicle in Long Beach on Friday night, July 18, 2025.
According to the Long Beach Police Department, the incident occurred around 10:30 p.m. in the 1000 block of Pacific Coast Highway near Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue.
Investigators said the man was walking in the eastbound lanes, outside of a crosswalk, when he was struck by an eastbound vehicle.
Paramedics with the Long Beach Fire Department transported the man to a hospital, where he was reported to have stable vital signs while receiving treatment.
The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with police. Authorities said DUI is not suspected as a factor in the crash. The investigation is ongoing.
