A man was killed after being struck by a vehicle while walking in the roadway in Jurupa Valley on Thursday night, July 17, 2025.
According to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, the incident occurred around 9:25 p.m. on Van Buren Boulevard just south of Etiwanda Avenue.
Authorities said the pedestrian was in the roadway for unknown reasons when he was hit by a passing vehicle.
Paramedics arrived shortly after the crash and pronounced the man dead at the scene. His identity has not yet been released pending notification of next of kin.
The driver remained at the scene, cooperated with deputies, and showed no signs of impairment. No arrests were made.
An autopsy is pending. The investigation is ongoing.
