[07-16-2025] Woman Killed, Man Injured After Motorcycle Crash on Antelope Valley Freeway Near PalmdaleA 31-year-old woman was killed and a man was injured after a motorcycle crash near Palmdale on Wednesday morning, July 16, 2025.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident occurred around 9:26 a.m. on the northbound Antelope Valley (14) Freeway at the transition from Pearblossom Highway.

Authorities said the crash involved a 2020 Harley-Davidson motorcycle operated by a 32-year-old man from Apple Valley.

Preliminary reports indicated the rider lost control of the motorcycle while merging onto the freeway. The motorcycle overturned and entered the raised concrete median, ejecting the female passenger. She then struck a metal freeway signpost and was pronounced dead at the scene. CHP identified her as a 31-year-old woman from Lake Arrowhead.

The male rider sustained a head contusion and abrasions but was not transported to a hospital. Both individuals were wearing helmets at the time of the crash. CHP stated that alcohol and drugs are not suspected to be factors.

The investigation is ongoing.
