A crash involving two big rigs caused significant traffic delays and lane closures on the southbound I-15 Freeway near the 215 split in Devore, San Bernardino County, early Tuesday morning, July 15, 2025.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred shortly after 3:14 a.m. Initial reports indicated a stalled semi was obstructing traffic in the middle lanes when it was struck by a second big rig.
Both vehicles remained upright but sustained major damage, and debris was scattered across the freeway. All lanes near Glen Helen Parkway and the 215 split were initially shut down.
By approximately 3:56 a.m., CHP reopened lanes 1 and 2, but traffic remained severely congested. Commuters reported seeing car parts across the roadway, and delays extended back to Kenwood Avenue.
Emergency crews from the San Bernardino County Fire Protection District responded, and rotation tow trucks were requested to help clear the scene.
Information regarding injuries was not immediately available. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
