A pedestrian sustained major injuries after being struck by a vehicle in Oroville late Tuesday night, July 15, 2025.
According to the Oroville California Highway Patrol office, the incident occurred on Highway 70 near Cox Lane.
Authorities reported that 38-year-old Baljinder K. of Yuba City was driving a 2015 Honda CR-V southbound when an unidentified female pedestrian ran across the roadway. Despite the driver’s attempt to brake, the vehicle struck the pedestrian.
Emergency responders transported the injured woman to Enloe Medical Center for treatment. Alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the collision.
Personnel from the Yuba County Sheriff’s Office and Butte County Fire assisted at the scene. The investigation is ongoing.
