A man riding a scooter was hospitalized after being struck by a vehicle in Victorville on Monday afternoon, July 14, 2025.
According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, the collision occurred around 1:30 p.m. at the intersection of La Mesa Road and Amargosa Road.
Authorities stated that a gray Toyota SUV was turning left from Amargosa Road onto westbound La Mesa Road on a solid green light when the scooter rider entered the intersection and was hit.
The man sustained a head laceration and was transported to a hospital for treatment. Officials said he was awake and speaking with deputies at the scene. The Toyota driver was not injured.
The pedestrian’s identity and updated condition have not been released. The incident remains under investigation.
