Three people were injured in a high-speed collision at the intersection of Lodi Avenue and Cherokee Lane in Lodi on Monday morning, July 13, 2026.
According to the Lodi Fire Department, the crash occurred around 3 a.m. when a black Acura SUV traveling southbound on Cherokee Lane ran a red light and struck a black Nissan SUV turning west onto Lodi Avenue.
Firefighters reported that the Acura was partially on fire upon arrival. The vehicle’s driver and passenger had exited prior to first responders arriving, while the Nissan driver was trapped and required extrication.
All three individuals sustained moderate injuries and were transported to area hospitals for treatment. Emergency crews simultaneously extinguished the fire and provided medical care at the scene.
Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances of the incident.
