[07-13-2024] One Person Killed, Two Others Injured After Single-Vehicle Crash on Highway 99One person was killed, and two others were injured after a single-vehicle crash in Pixley, Tulare County, on Saturday morning, July 13, 2024. 

According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred around 9:04 a.m. on Highway 99 near Terra Bella Avenue. 

Authorities stated that a Ford Explorer, driven by 38-year-old Ricardo H., was driving on the roadway when it drifted into the dirt shoulder, grazing the metal guardrail. Ricardo H. steered his vehicle back to the right, where it overturned across the lanes and landed on its roof. After the crash, he sustained minor injuries but refused treatment. 

At the same time, the other two newlywed passengers sustained major injuries and were transported to Kaweah Health Medical Center in Visalia via ambulances. Police identified the two passengers as Ally G.,26, who was in the back right seat of the vehicle, and 26-year-old Marcus G., who was seated in the right front seat. 

Ally G. suffered broken bones, a skull fracture, and slight bleeding in her brain. Meanwhile, Marcus G. was pronounced dead due to his life-threatening injuries.

The crash remains under investigation, but neither drugs nor alcohol were a factor.
