[07-07-2024] Los Angeles County, CA – 40-Year-Old Male Rider Killed After Motorcycle Vs. Vehicle Collision Along Alameda Street

A 40-year-old male rider was killed after a motorcycle vs. vehicle collision in downtown Los Angeles on Sunday afternoon, July 7, 2024. 

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the fatal accident happened at about 4:12 p.m. around Alameda Street and Industrial Street.

Preliminary investigations suggested that an unspecified vehicle was turning south from Industrial Street to Alameda Street when the motorcyclist crashed into it for still-unknown reasons. The impact of the crash reportedly threw the rider off his motorcycle and into the ground. 

The male rider suffered severe injuries following the incident and was rushed to the hospital for treatment. He was later pronounced dead at the medical facility. His name and place of origin are being withheld pending notification of his relatives.

It is still unclear if the driver of the vehicle involved was injured.

No further information was immediately available, and the authorities are still examining all the evidence found to determine the factors leading up to the deadly crash.

An investigation is underway.
