A 40-year-old male rider was seriously injured after a motorcycle vs. vehicle collision in San Diego on Saturday night, July 6, 2024.
According to the San Diego Police Department, the incident occurred around 10:50 p.m. at the 6800 block of Doriana Street in the Bay Terraces community.
SDPD stated that the 40-year-old rider was on a 2010 Harley Davidson motorcycle going west along Doriana Street when, for some reason, it crashed into a 2012 Volkswagen Golf. Initial reports suggested that the Volkswagen was attempting a U-turn when the motorcycle struck it.
The rider reportedly suffered a fractured femur as a result of the incident. Meanwhile, there is no word yet on whether the driver of the Volkswagen was also injured.
Additional information was not immediately available, and the authorities are still gathering all the necessary details to determine the factors leading up to the crash.
