A man and woman were hospitalized after their vehicle crashed and burst into flames in Apple Valley, San Bernardino County, on Saturday morning, July 5, 2025.
According to officials, the solo-vehicle crash occurred around 10:47 a.m. on northbound Interstate 15 between the South and North Stoddard Wells Road exits.
The impact caused the Tesla Model Y to catch fire. By the time Victorville Fire Department crews arrived, the vehicle was fully engulfed in flames.
Firefighters quickly extinguished the blaze, but the Tesla was completely destroyed.
Both the driver and a female passenger escaped the vehicle before the fire intensified. They were transported by AMR to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The California Highway Patrol Victorville station is investigating the cause of the crash.
