A 46-year-old rider was killed following a motorcycle vs. vehicle crash in Perris on Friday afternoon, July 5, 2024.
According to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, the collision occurred around 4:06 p.m. at the intersection of Ramona Expressway and Redlands Avenue.
Authorities stated that a motorcyclist, identified as 46-year-old Samuel A. from Perris, was traveling south on Redlands when, for unknown reasons, his motorcycle crashed into a Nissan sedan that was going west on Ramona Expressway.
Paramedics performed life-saving measures, but the victim was pronounced dead at the scene. It is unknown what caused the collision or if drugs and alcohol played a role. As of this writing, no other injuries or fatalities were reported.
The crash remains under investigation. Officers are continuously searching for evidence and information to determine the circumstances surrounding the crash.
Additional details have yet to be disclosed.
