Three people sustained injuries, including one reported amputation, following a collision involving a tanker truck on the 405 Freeway in Brentwood, Los Angeles County, early Wednesday morning, July 2, 2025.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash happened around 2:15 a.m. on the southbound 405 Freeway at the Getty Center off-ramp. The incident involved a white utility truck, a gray Jeep, and a semi-truck that collided and blocked multiple lanes.
The Los Angeles Fire Department stated that one of the victims, a 53-year-old man, reportedly lost a leg in the crash. Two other victims, a 59-year-old man and a 34-year-old man, were also transported to local hospitals in serious condition. Both were reportedly able to walk before being taken by ambulance.
The CHP continues to investigate the cause of the collision.
