One person was killed in a fatal crash that caused a vehicle to plunge off a cliff in Malibu on Wednesday morning, July 2, 2025.
According to the Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff’s Station, deputies responded to the incident at approximately 11:30 a.m. in the 4300 block of Decker Edison Road.
The crash involved two vehicles, with one plummeting off the roadway and landing at the bottom of a ravine. The car overturned at the base of the cliff, near several rusted-out vehicles, suggesting previous incidents in the area.
Authorities have not yet released the identity of the deceased. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
