Two pedestrians were hit by an SUV while crossing a marked crosswalk in Petaluma on Tuesday afternoon, July 1, 2025.
According to the Petaluma Police Department, the collision happened at approximately 1:22 p.m. at the intersection of Petaluma Boulevard N and B Street.
The pedestrians were using a marked crosswalk when a southbound SUV struck them. Emergency responders transported both victims to nearby hospitals, with one reported to be in critical condition.
Authorities said the driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation. Drugs or alcohol are not believed to have played a role in the incident.
