A 49-year-old female pedestrian was killed after being hit by a pickup truck in Chula Vista on Monday afternoon, June 30, 2025.
According to the Chula Vista Police Department, the incident occurred around 2:45 p.m. in the 400 block of Second Avenue near G Street. The woman was reportedly struck by a Ram 3500 pickup truck.
She was transported to a local hospital by paramedics but was later pronounced dead from her injuries. Her identity has not yet been released, pending notification of next of kin.
Authorities stated that intoxication does not appear to be a factor. The investigation into who was at fault is ongoing.
