A 13-year-old boy sustained injuries after running a red light and colliding with a pickup truck while riding an electric motorcycle in Rancho Cucamonga on Monday afternoon, June 30, 2025.
According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, the collision occurred around 2:00 p.m. at the intersection of Haven Avenue and 19th Street.
Witnesses reported that the juvenile rider failed to stop at a red light while traveling westbound and collided with a Dodge Ram pickup truck.
The truck driver, identified as 52-year-old Brian K. of Grass Valley, saw the boy approaching and stopped his vehicle. However, the rider was unable to brake in time and struck the truck, resulting in his ejection over the vehicle and onto the roadway.
The boy was transported to a nearby hospital with multiple injuries. The truck driver was uninjured in the incident.
The investigation is ongoing.
