A bicyclist was killed in a hit-and-run crash in Fresno County on Saturday night, June 28, 2025.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident occurred around 9:30 p.m. on Adams Avenue near Cove Road, just west of Orange Cove.
The victim was riding a bicycle westbound on Adams when she was struck from behind by a red truck traveling in the same direction.
The driver, identified as 41-year-old Rafaela C. of Orosi, allegedly fled the scene without stopping or contacting authorities. On Sunday, Rafaela turned herself in to the Orange Cove Police Department and was later transferred to CHP custody.
She has been booked into the Fresno County Jail on charges of felony gross vehicular manslaughter.
The incident remains under investigation.
