Four people were injured after a suspected drunk driver crashed into a 7-Eleven in Arcadia on Friday night, June 28, 2024.
According to the Arcadia Police Department, the car crash happened just after 10:30 p.m. near the intersection of Baldwin Avenue and Fairview Avenue.
Surveillance footage from the scene showed a Toyota Prius barreling into the front entrance doors of the 7-Eleven convenience store, scattering debris all over the floor and damaging the store’s windows.
Police said that four people were hurt in the accident. At this time, it is still unclear if the injured individuals were employees or customers. Their identities and current conditions were also undisclosed.
The driver of the Toyota Prius, whose name, age, and gender were not available yet, was arrested by the police for suspected DUI inside the damaged store.
The reason why the driver drove straight into the convenience store is still under investigation.
