[06-27-2026] Stanislaus County, CA – One Killed, Three Seriously Injured in Fiery Three-Vehicle Crash North of Modesto

One person was killed, and three others suffered major injuries in a three-vehicle crash on Ladd Road north of Modesto on Saturday night, June 27, 2026.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred around 9:35 p.m. just east of Tully Road, near Salida Fire Station 13. The crash involved a green 2026 Porsche coupe, a black 2016 Ram pickup truck, and a white 2023 Mercedes SUV.

The driver of the Porsche, a 57-year-old Modesto man, was pronounced dead at the scene. His passenger, 38-year-old Jon B. of Manteca, sustained major injuries and was airlifted to UC Davis Medical Center. 

The driver of the Ram pickup, 27-year-old Ismael Gonzalez, and his five passengers sustained minor or no injuries. The driver and passenger of the Mercedes, Diana and Manuel Y. of Oakdale, suffered major injuries and were taken to local hospitals.

Preliminary investigation indicates the Porsche was traveling at high speed when it rear-ended the Ram, causing it to overturn. The Porsche then entered the eastbound lane and collided head-on with the Mercedes, catching fire shortly afterward. CHP noted that alcohol may have been a factor in the crash.

The investigation is ongoing.
