A 27-year-old man was killed in a motorcycle crash after sideswiping a pickup truck in Long Beach on Thursday night, June 27, 2025.
According to the Long Beach Police Department, the rider was operating a 2023 Yamaha motorcycle northbound on Redondo Avenue around 10:25 p.m. when he clipped a pickup truck driven by a 63-year-old man from Lomita.
The collision caused the motorcyclist to lose control, strike the curb, and be ejected from the bike.
The motorcyclist, a resident of Long Beach, was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity has not yet been released.
Police said the pickup driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. Excessive speed is being considered a possible factor in the crash.
